Highways UK Laureates scheme
Nominations for the 2019 Laureates will open at Easter
The Highways UK Laureates programme was set up in 2018 to acknowldege the extraordinary achievements of key individuals in the UK highways sector.
Up to two Highways UK Laureates will be elected annually from a shortlist of individuals recognised for their outstanding contribution to the highways sector. Laureates will be presented with their prestigious Highways UK Award at the annual Highways UK Laureate Awards Dinner, running on the first day of the annual Highways UK event (6 November in 2019).
The Highways UK Laureates Awards will be given to outstanding individuals who have made a significant contribution to the sector over a sustained period of time. They will come from all areas of the highways industry: public sector, private sector, universities, campaign groups and NGOs.
Additionallly, a further two Associate Laureates will also be announced each year. Associate Laureates will be selected from a shortlist of individuals with not more than about a decade's experience in the sector who have already demonstrated the attributes that set them apart as future industry leaders.
Laureates and Associate Laureates will be decided by the Highways UK Laureates Committee which welcomes nominations for consideration.
