Highways UK 2020 Starts in

4/5 November 2020, NEC, Birmingham

Innovation Competitions at Highways UK

Highways UK is delighted to announce the shortlist for this year's two annual innovation competitions that will be running across both days of the event.

In the Intelligent Infrastructure Challenge, sponsored by Costain, the judging committee has selected 24 finalists from over 80 entries, across six categories. And in the Civils and Materials Innovation Hub,sponsored by AECOM and supported by the Mineral Products Association, the field has been whittled down to 20 finalists in five categories. That's a 20% annual increase in the shortlist to reflect the number and quality of entries received this year across both competitions.

Shortlisted organisations will be invited to offer their elevator pitches and face an interview from an expert panel of judges in a series of category finals running throughout Highways UK. Category winners will enter a final from which the judges will select the overall competition winners. In addition to the kudos and exposure, the winners will secure a half-day mentoring session led by Highways England, covering procurement of innovation, standards and marketing.
